Blake

So, Missouri is cold right now. There hasn’t been a lot of snow, but it’s cold. Like COLD. Blake and I (and his wonderful mom, Julie) braved said cold to take his senior photos out at Watkins Mill in Excelsior Springs. Blake is super GQ — you’ll see. He’s amazingly photogenic and there were several times when I stopped and said, “You’re just so good at this.” We found the perfect pockets of light (which you’ll also see) and I tried to find some candid moments within the traditional poses. Congrats on your last semester of high school, Blake. Good luck with everything!

Becca

I haven’t announced all of the new packages and prices for the 2012 wedding season (be on the lookout soon for that blog post!), but one new thing I’m adding is Bridal portraits. Becca was one of my 2010 brides and she volunteered to wear her dress around Union Station and I’m so glad she did. She looked beautiful and US was the perfect elegant backdrop…plus, it was air conditioned!

Brian

Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.

So scared of getting older, I’m only good at being young.

So I play the numbers game, and find a way to say that life has just begun.

Kristine

Miss Kristine wants to be a model and I think she might just have the chops! Once we got in the swing of things, she was a natural at posing and I had little to no work (besides finding the places and snapping the photos) because she posed her little heart out. Kristine was sweet and giggled a lot, which always makes me happy because, you know me, I love happy people! I had so much fun, even if it was ridiculously cold. Thanks for being a trooper, Kristine.

Enjoy!

Jennifer

This is Jennifer.

When I was at Jewell I had to take this little class called “Career Paths for the English Major” and Jennifer was one of the speakers in a panel discussion we had one day that semester. I thought she was swell then and she’s even cooler now. She is a legit author with a fantastically amazing book called Hate List (if you haven’t read it, do it NOW!). She’s funny and talented and a couple months ago asked me to take her author photo for her next book called Bitter End and of course, why would I not say yes? Right?

Need a new headshot? Sessions are $50 for a half an hour with up to 50 photos. Just say hellolaceyc@yahoo.com and we’ll chat!

Paige

After Paige’s senior session I sent a text to another photographer that said “I just got finished taking senior photos for this adorable girl and now I want someone to take MY photo.” If you know me, you know that for me to say those words is a big deal because I prefer to be the one taking the picture instead of in front of the camera. And I owe it all to Paige who was absolutely wonderful. We met up on a very cold Saturday morning and ran around Jewell and the Square. She’s a cute, quirky senior at Liberty High and I loved getting to know her. We found some neat places with really pretty light and coupled with her cute outfits and really rad shoes (I was super jealous!), I couldn’t have asked for a better session.

Congrats on your senior year, Paige! (And p.s. pick JEWELL!). Enjoy the photos.

I think this may be my favorite (my forever thanks to Samantha for finding this rad spot!).
